ChatGPT: Artificial Intelligence as a new working tool

Last November, OpenAI introduced a new artificial intelligence tool called ChatGPT. The large-scale chatbot can generate a number of answers based on approximately 8 million documents and 10 billion words on the Internet.

No wonder ChatGPT became an instant hit after its launch, and the topic of AI is often heard in the media today. This is because it works in the form of a dialogue within a chat, providing relevant answers similar to those of a ‘human’. It is built on the latest GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) language model and although it has limitations, it can generate natural answers to a huge number of questions, all it needs is to be given the right task. Thus, it can be helpful in a variety of ways.

The artificial intelligence generates responses based on training data, and the model on which the chatbot is built is about 175 billion parameters in size. This has definitely made it the largest language model yet created. A generative pre-trained transformer, as we might translate the acronym GPT, refers to a particular type of artificial neural network that is used in the field of natural language processing (NLP).

At the moment, the app is available to anyone who signs up via email, and there are several versions of the app. They vary in size and amount of data trained, with a more powerful paid version also available. The use of GPT technology in NLP is continually expanding and it is currently one of the most powerful models for text generation.

ChatGPT can be applied to a variety of tasks and for online marketing. Using the technology, it is possible to create personalized and relevant content or automate routine tasks. New technologies are an ever-growing trend in today’s digital world, so ChatGPT also offers new possibilities. Tasks such as generating new texts, answering questions or having a conversation with the user are handled excellently by GPT.

ChatGPT can operate in many languages, including Slovak, and works by processing information through machine learning and language processing algorithms. Very simplistically, it could be said that it is a language model operating on the basis of probability. It guesses what word should follow in a sentence and continuously learns (deep learning).

What can ChatGPT be used for in practice?
  1. Content creation: the tool can prepare, for example, the outline of the article, headlines, catchy titles, textual content, whether it is an article or a description, can find the most frequently asked questions (FAQ) and so on.
  2. Keyword analysis: it has to be said that in the case of ChatGPT there is not much room to work with large datasets. However, it can be used in keyword analysis, such as basic categorization or assigning purchase intent to a specific keyword.
  3. Social networks: ChatGPT can create and formulate social networking posts, where the exact number of characters that the post should contain, its character or similarity to the text you have created can be defined in the assignment.

So it seems that generative artificial intelligence will produce texts indistinguishable on sight from those written by humans. However, the outputs from ChatGPT need to be carefully checked as the information is not always 100-percent. The length of the output is limited and no new data is available, so current trends are not yet known by the chatbot.

However, the new chatbot can definitely be used for the basics of online marketing, copywriting or description. Where a human could spend hours studying and searching for materials on a topic, this AI tool can obviously save a lot of time.
